Private Success Team Update

Ray White announced earlier today that he has made major changes to the Private Success Team.

Starting today, new Private Success Team members will need to sign up for only two programs rather than the three that were previously required.

SFI Marketing Group remains our main affiliate program and Soaring4Traffic is the traffic exchange that will be promoted to meet our traffic needs.

Ray just announced a new email series that will provide all Private Success Team members with a better understanding of what our goals are and the process we take to build everyone’s downline in both programs.

If you wish to start building your list and promote the Private Success Team system, the email series will be available for you to copy and modify. It is highly recommended that you sign up for this email series to better understand the direction we are taking.

You are invited to sign up to my customized version of the Private Success Team message series.

Please drop by the forum at your earliest convenience. If you are not already a member of the forum, come and join us right away.

Come join our Private Success Team and start promoting it right away. Let's get back to business and work together to build this team.

Act on your dream!

Should you tweet your blog?

I’ve been thinking a lot about Twitter.com lately.

I’ve been trying to tweet more often, but I don’t really want to say anything unless I think it may be useful for the people who follow me.

When Squidoo added a feature that lets us tweet when we update a lens, I started using that as judiciously as I could. I certainly don’t tweet every time I update a lens. I do try to tweet the release of a new lens, however.

Then, I learned about Tweet My Blog, a new plug-in and widget recently released by John Merrick and Soren Jordansen.

I downloaded and installed it on my 21st Century Affiliate Marketing blog and everything was smooth and easy to do.

So, I’m testing it, but haven’t decided if it should earn a permanent home, yet.

In order to get more feedback and opinions, I created a new Should you tweet your blog? lens on Squidoo.

If you are interested in tweeting about new blog posts, I hope you’ll take a few minutes and visit the lens. I would appreciate any feedback you’d care to make.

ILH member profiles now have real URL

I was reading a thread on NetMarketingForum.com where ILH administrators and members are discussing the new member profile pages.

The Brand New I Love Hits Profile Pages

One message in the thread caught my attention, because it concerned the new URL to our member profiles.

Originally the link to my ILH profile was:

http://www.ilovehits.com/profile/?name=johndilbeck

In the thread, Jon D. Atwood pointed out that we now have real URLs that are formed like this:

www.ilovehits.com/profile/USERNAME

That means that you no longer have to pass your username to the page by passing a parameter (name=johndilbeck behind the question mark), and that should make it easier to get your profile page indexed by the search engines.

So, this means that my new URL is:

http://www.ilovehits.com/profile/johndilbeck

If you are linking to your ILH member profile, you may prefer using this simpler URL.

Before posting this to my ILH blog, I did a quick search on Google for "johndilbeck member profile" (without the quotes) and was surprised to see this profile page at the bottom of page one of the results. I have lots of profiles on established websites and I was surprised to see this one show up on page one.

It was a pleasant surprise!

The Google entry links to the original link with the question mark in the URL, so maybe that wasn't a hindrance to getting indexed after all.

The new URL does make it easier to use, though.

It also means that posting to your ILH blog is getting noticed by Google and that's a good thing.

Just for fun, I searched Google for "ILoveHits.com member profile" (without the quotes) and was surprised to see my profile show up at position one, page one.

I don't see any reason for that, other than a blog posting linking to the profile. Perhaps it's just an artifact of being logged in at Google, but I have no idea if that is a valid factor or not.

So, now I'll bookmark my profile page on del.icio.us and maybe link to it from a couple of other sites, including my Traffic Exchanges lens on Squidoo.com.

I have lots of things to do today, so I'd better get to it.

New links to member profiles when surfing ILoveHits

I was surfing ILoveHits over the weekend and noticed that some of the pages had a link at the bottom of the page to that member's profile page.

Most of the pages say, "Create Your ILH Profile Page," but some say, "View Soren Jordansen's Profile."

I just surfed a dozen or so pages and Soren's was the first with a link to a real profile.

Since I should never see my pages when I surf, I'm assuming that they will say, "View John Dilbeck's Profile."

I like the new design of the profile pages and I think this is a great idea.

At the bottom of each member's profile page is a link to the "Member Directory." This is still a rudimentary page showing a list of unordered member names with links to their profile page. It appears as if the list actually is ordered by when each member created their profile page. Newer profile pages are added to the bottom of the list.

I think the member directory would be better if it listed all the heavyweight members in alphabetical order, followed by a section that listed the next-higher membership level, and so forth with the free members listed alphabetically at the bottom.

Or, if Jon doesn't want to do that, maybe just an alphabetical listing of all members who have created their profiles.

It occurs to me, while reading down the list of members, that there is a real advantage to showing your real name rather than a username or handle. This is another example of the power of branding yourself.

The photo and name shown on the member profile pages are taken from the information entered on the "personal splash pages" page.

Now that the member profile pages are active, it might be a good idea to modify at least one of the personalized splash pages to add a link to our member profile page. That would spread the word when we use those personalized splash pages on other traffic exchanges.

This is shaping up nicely.
