It’s Time To ‘Surf With A Purpose’…

I think I may be one of the ‘kings of the Acronyms’ in this business…Wow, I’ve come up with a lot of them like T.E.B.A., S.O.L.A.S.T., H.E.N…Well this week I’m adding ‘S.W.A.P.’ to the mix…

Surfing With A Purpose is a message I actually went over way back in May 2005 in an issue of Hit Exchange News, where in Tip number 4 I spoke about keeping focused and not to join every program in the world…

It’s tough.

I mean there is so many offers out there, so many exciting opportunities but what is the number one destroyer of a ‘newbie’s drive to succeed’? Slot machine marketing and not being able to focus on your goals.

And goals differ from person to person, the entire message behind S.W.A.P. clicking is to have your goal in mind every single ‘click’ you make. Are you trying to earn $100 bucks a day? Perfect, keep that in mind when you surf. Are you trying to build your list by 5 new subscribers a day? Great, keep going. Are you looking to see how other people promote to get some ideas for your own squeeze and splash pages, awesome, keep that in mind…

You see, if we focus on what our end goal looks like, it’s so powerful to keep your eyes on the prize. No joining this, no joining that. No investing here, no investing there. Every single click you make, every day is getting you one step closer to your goals, whatever they may be.

Acronym maybe…But a very important message I think that all surfers should keep in mind. Have your goals in front of you, start your session and aim for that target. Focus is so important and when you surf with a purpose, your focus is laser targeted!

It’s The New Year…9 Years Of I Love Hits

Funny little things, these traffic exchanges are…

2010 marks the 9th year of existence for I Love Hits. Amazing when I sit back and think of how far this program has come and very excited to think of where it is going.

Every ‘new year’ people tell themselves they are going to ‘change’ the way they live. They make resolutions (that are usually broken promises within the first few weeks of the new year)…

I’m not going to do that with I Love Hits.

I promise this! We will continue to grow. I’m not changing the way we promote the program, how we grow the program and how it’s branded in the online world. I’m happy with the fact that after 9 years, this program still attracts 200-300 new members each and every week…

Can it be improved?

Absolutely! And that is a guarantee. I will always be looking for your suggestions and your input on how to make this program the best traffic exchange possible.

I will always look to you, the member, for suggestions and encourage you to send me your thoughts and comments. I Love Hits will continue to grow because without growth, we don’t move forward.

So ya, I’ll add new features this year. I’ll put my all in to bringing you the best. However 9 years after ‘Bob’ started this program, it shows no signs of slowing down…

For that, I am very grateful and honored to be involved with one of the oldest and most active traffic exchanges in history!

So I Did Some More Surfing On TE Live…

First off, I’ve got to give credit to Mr Tim Linden for creating one of the coolest new tools for your traffic exchange enjoyment, it’s the ‘TE Live Toolbar’ and you can download it for free and completely customize it your your surfing needs…

K, so we surfed again live today at Traffic Exchange Live and I’ve got to say, I think we complicate this entire advertising gig in the traffic exchanges more than we need two…

Ready for the broken record?

It’s called the two B’s of the T.E.’s and it goes like this…

1. Build Your List

2. Brand Your Name!

That’s it! That’s the only two things you should be doing if you spend any time at all in the traffic exchanges. Far too many times we saw huge affiliate sales pitches, ridiculous claims of bogus income potential, poorly designed splash and squeeze pages and next to NO personal branding.

Simple simple simple stuff. Stick your photo, your name , your logo on a squeeze page and then build your list using a lead capture form on the page.

Even if the person doesn’t sign up immediately, your personal branding will stick. The more your site is seen, the more people ‘get to know you’…The more people ‘get to know you’ the more potential you have to creating a relationship with that viewer.

Is it the ’sexy’ answer? Not at all. Does it take work? Yup!

Does it work? Absolutely…

Give it try, practice the Two B’s of the T.E.’s and if you don’t see results in 6 months from now, come to this blog and tell me…I can almost guarantee your success if you follow these two steps and stick with them!

I NEED Your Feedback…

I got a wonderful email from Doug, a user at I Love Hits who essentially let me in on a secret…I was ticking members off with the ‘cookie session’ we currently have at the system. Did this tick you off too?

Basically people surfed for a bit, stopped for like 15 minutes and would get logged out for being inactive. This was starting to really get some members upset and Doug let me know about it…

THANK YOU!

Because of Doug’s email, I ran right to my programmer and within 10 minutes we changed the cookie settings so now you have a 5 hour cookie. That’s right you will not get logged out if you do not surf for a few hours.

Pretty simple change, but all it took was one email from a concerned member! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I NEED more of that, if you have a problem, a concern or something you want to rant about, please let me know. I Love Hits and SWAT Traffic are at your service and I would love to hear what you think!

Why Are The Best People In The Industry At TE Live?

So Traffic Exchange Live has been around for over a month now. It’s really special. I have never felt so good about a project online ever, why?

Does it make me money? Not directly.

Does it have a one time offer? Not at all.

What it does is allow me to meet the best people in the traffic exchange industry each and every weekday.

What happened today, well, was a prime example of how this live show is attracting the best people in the WORLD. I order lunch from a local restaurant called ‘Konga Cafe’, it’s a great spot that focuses on Jamaican cuisine and I have become close friends with the owner Eddie.

He even delivers my lunch to me when I give him a call and today I saw him come up to my door, but the funny thing was, I didn’t order anything.

How’s this for amazing?

Charles Smith, a regular at TE Live and one of my downline members in Traffic Wave actually CALLED Konga Cafe and ordered me lunch.

Wow!

Words can’t describe what an amazing feeling that was and how honored I am to be involved with so many great people, like Charles.

So thank you sir, I very much appreciate you and everyone who has made Traffic Exchange Live such a huge success!

I’m Finished! I Finally Made The Move To Traffic Wave…

It’s been a  long time coming and even though I’ve got a TON of work to do for completely changing my auto responder service, I’m almost done with aWeber…

Weird huh? I mean aWeber is one of the most respected services on the net and I’ve generated thousands of dollars in affiliate commissions over the years. But when you are treated bad, you have got to go to where you are respected and well, I wasn’t respected at all at aWeber.

For the past year now, I have been getting constant ‘don’t promote on traffic exchange’ messages from them,  every time someone clicks THEIR link on my tutorial pages. Funny huh, they are saying that my traffic is untargeted because I promote in an ‘auto generated’ environment.

How’s that for ignorance?

In fact, I’d say that my traffic is about as targeted as you can get. Someone clicking a link, in a training module, teaching them about list building.

Whatever, I’m done with them and took the plunge today and joined Traffic Wave. Why them? Why not some other auto responder service?

Simple, this is a business that is catering to my niche. Traffic Wave WANTS customers from the traffic exchange industry, in fact they REALLY try to promote to us. That I like.

I love to support businesses that support our industry and well, no one in the auto responder industry does it better than Traffic Wave.

So step one has been tackled, now I get to change ALL my programs, messages, tutorials and yeah, even The Pizza Plan…This is going to be a lot of work but I’m excited about the new change and well, I had nothing planned all weekend anyways LOL
