Why Certain Things ‘Work’ In The Traffic Exchanges

Since these programs started, traffic exchanges have always had a very comfortable footing in the ‘make money at home’ niche. We are a perfect launch pad for aspiring marketers, looking to advertise their business and opportunity or other home based business people.

In fact, I kind of chuckle when people say traffic exchange traffic isn’t targeted. In fact, I would argue that if you are looking for home based businesses, get money online, work from home opportunities, the traffic exchanges are about as targeted as you can get.

With that in mind, it’s no surprise certain programs do very well in this environment while others really fail. Here’s an example, GDI has been absolutely HUGE in the traffic exchanges. This opportunity has been seen by each and every surfer more than once and has for years. Is it the program itself? The way it caters to the newer marketer? Their marketing material? Whatever the reason, traffic exchange surfers have all seen their advertisements and even a big chunk of us have joined GDI at one time or another.

Another popular program are the ’system’ programs like TE Profits and the new ‘Ocean Swell’ system. Why do these do well in the traffic exchanges? Simplicity! These programs are lazer focused with one thing in mind, generating quick commissions for their members. They work because there is no fluff, they get straight to the point, are easy to set up and more importantly very easy to promote.

What are the other reasons? Why do these type of programs get promoted everywhere you click while some others barely generate any noise at all. What do you think? DO you have any reasons for this? Do you have some stories about any of the programs I mentioned?

I’d love to hear your input on this and maybe get a few case studies going…Why do certain programs do well in the traffic exchanges while others fail? Let’s get some comments going…

I agree, traffic exchanges are about as targeted as you can get. However, what you have in rotation absolutely determines the results that you see (plus how active you are and how often your sites are actually seen).

Why do some fail while others are a huge hit? I think that can really be answered by asking, what are TE users looking for?

How To’s and training materials do quite well. For me, at any rate. And it doesn’t need to be restricted to “How To Profit From Traffic Exchanges” either. We are all business people of one caliber or another. How to generate leads from social media, how to drive traffic to your blogs or how to SEO optimize your website all would do well.

For me the question I always try to ask is, who am I talking to and why are they there? That gives a big clue to what they would be interested in and what would work well in a TE.

How many have joined blogs while surfing TE’s? I know I have. Several in fact. Why? Because what they presented caught my eye and was something I was interested in. Made many friends that way too. :)

    Hello Mr. Olson!
    Sraight to the point…
I do promote Te Profits and think the best way to promote this system is traffic exchanges campaign. Why? This system (you know this already) generates the two main things every surfer needs-website traffic or(and) cash…
It’s symple, easy, fast and genius.

    All the best

I am earning an online residual income with GDI and I advertise daily in traffic exchanges. I get better results by promoting lead generation systems for GDI instead of just using the affiliate link. These systems have an opt in form which gives me a way to follow-up with the leads. I am lucky to have an upline that provides lots of training and support otherwise I would be promoting the wrong links and not getting good results. Traffic exchanges are one of the best ways to advertise.

Indeed, Traffic Exhanges give laser targeted traffic for marketers targeting opportunity seekers. But traffic exchanges do not deliver targeted traffic if you are trying to sell bikes or CDs. I’m still a bit puzzled why there aren’t market specific traffic exchanges solely focussing on selling cars, drinks etc.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, much appreciated. Walter, same question goes through my mind and has for years. Market specific could be huge, always thought different music genres could have a field day with the TE model…
