Get Personal When Promoting In The Traffic Exchanges

I am one of those strange beasts online….I enjoy surfing the traffic exchanges. A lot in fact. I’ve been at this stuff for a decade but still get excited to surf a few hours every day. You have to love what you do, and well, I love this business!

However, while surfing I get to see what other people are promoting and to be honest, it’s quite alarming. Take for example the age old advice that you should be promoting a splash or squeeze page. Good advice, and something I think everyone should be doing, but even the people that are doing this are once again promoting the generic affiliate link and adding no ‘personality’ to it.

What do I mean by that?

No picture of themselves. No name on the page to let the viewer know who they are. Nothing.

Just a generic page that is helping to brand the program being promoted and absolutely no benefit at all to the promoter. Sure, they may get a lead or two every few thousand page views but there is no ‘WOW’ factor and absolutely no personal branding taking place.

Brand you name and build your list. I call it the two B’s of the T.E.’s and something everyone should practice to get the most results. Remember, people may not sign up the first time they see your site, but keep it in front of them and use your real name and picture (if you are comfortable with that) to help break the ice.

People will notice YOU rather than the program and you will have much better results when the viewer knows your name and recognizes your picture.

Learn how to brand and build. It works =)

One of the true keys to effectively using the tes and despite the harping we have both done over many years it still does not get embraced, (Except by those that actually make money ;) )
