Tweet Glide – My first attempt to ’systemize’ my Tweeting…
Everyone told me about Tweet Deck, Tweet This, Tweet That, Tweet Twit Twas Twhat? When I first signed up for Twitter, I ‘got it’ right away. I understood the entire concept, I always think of it like text messaging on the web. Simple, 140 characters, people can follow you, comment, interact, it’s become one of my favorite 2.0 networks.
However, I never used any of the ‘tools’ that everyone suggested I should. I was told this product would help me do this, this product would help me do that…Funny thing was, Twitter as is works fine. I never believed in those auto follow software thingys (is thingy an actual word?) , so you would see I only follow the people I know, like, admire, respect and I don’t follow Jim Bob trying to pitch me GVO.
Kept everything very simple, easy to manage.
That’s until I started to follow hundreds of people. Sure it was fine and dandy when I followed 25-50 people, I could keep up with it very easily. But with hundreds of people that I DO know, like, admire, etc…It gets a bit hectic.
So, here comes Mike Filsaime’s TweetGlide, which is essentially Tweet Deck made for internet marketers. Cool huh? Ya, I figured the first ‘tool’ I should use to manage my Tweeting should be from the king of internet marketing.
Why?
Two reasons, O.K. maybe three. The first, this product kicks butt. It’s one of those easy to use systems that Jon Olson figured out in 5 minutes. Anything techy, I get scared very easily, so I was pleasantly surprised to download the software and get ‘tweeting’ right away.
The second, it’s made by someone who knows Twitter, uses Twitter and is active in Twitter. This tells me that Mike knows what he developed and created something that he would use himself, daily.
And finally, it’s Mike Filsaime. He’s a big kahuna in the internet marketing world so you know this will have ‘marketing’ over tones to it. Yup, it’s got a neat little ‘traffic exchange’ type feature that shows your ‘ads / tweets’ once for every 5 times you tweet. Cool huh?
If you use Twitter, are into internet marketing and want to check out the next big Twitter tool, TweetGlide in it. Did you download it already? Let me know what you think, please give me your opinions of it =)
